The art walk offers fine art lovers a variety of genres to choose from each year as well as a multitude of other family friendly activities. Past events have included a quilt show, music by Flutasia, spinning wheel display, pottery show, garden art show, and many more fun art activities for the entire family.
Unique architecture? Try 5 covered bridges along with 4 round barns. Interesting sites include the Januarius MacGahan Statue, across the street from the courthouse in New Lexington. It is dedicated to the Perry County native known as the "Liberator of Bulgaria".
Perry County Courthouse, located on Main Street in New Lexington, was built in 1887 for $145,000. This beautiful architectural building is constructed of pick and tan brownstone and patterned after European castles. Monument Square is located at the intersection of Main Street and West Broadway in New Lexington. This monument was rededicated on November 11, 1990 to include memorials for the Veterans of World War II, Vietnam, and Korea.
