This 12-mile trail originates in Struthers on the western end, and continues east to New Castle, PA. It runs parallel to the scenic Mahoning River and the former Youngstown-New Castle streetcar line. 3 state parks, 8 state wildlife/forest preserves and a national scenic river are also in the area.

The DeYor Performing Arts Center is home to the Youngstown Symphony Orchestra and includes the Edward W. Powers Auditorium, Ford Family Recital Hall at the Eleanor Beecher Flad Pavilion, Adler Art Academy and Overture Restaurant. This opulent facility was commissioned by the motion-picture-famed Warner Brothers and heralded as the finest theater ever built.
