Indian Lake has several hiking trails - the Cherokee Trail, an easy three-mile walk through brushy habitat located west of the Indian Lake State Campgrounds and Pew Island Trails, a one-mile path which encircles Pew Island and affords a spectacular view of Indian Lake.
West Liberty presents a wealth of year-round pleasures for visitors, including: art and gift boutiques, antique shops, sporting goods, consignment shops, local farm markets, a hometown grocery with fresh cut meats and homemade deli selections, and unbeatable homemade candy in a restored railroad depot.
Ancient caverns and castles, ziplining, downhill skiing, horseback riding, camping, canoeing and fishing in one of Ohio's few freshwater trout streams, are located just minutes away. Ohio Caverns is a show cave located near West Liberty, Ohio. A popular tourist destination and member of the National Caving Association, it is the largest of all the cave systems in Ohio and contains many crystal formations.
